Hello Kitty Pillowcase - Freezer Paper Tutorial

I used the Hello Kitty Font cart for this :)
Step 1. Cut Hello Kitty in Silhouette with freezer paper(shiny side up to cut). Iron "outside" piece down (shiny side will be in contact with your fabric) then put the silhouette piece down inside it and iron that down too. I also ironed on the face so it I knew where to put the eyes/mouth. "Fill in" all the areas that are supposed to be colored.

Step 2: After the colors are dry, peel off the silhouette part leaving the face and "outside" piece. Start filling in the black outside line.

PLEASE NOTE: Try and keep all the pieces that you didn't use for step 1 (the pieces where the color is supposed to be) and place them carefully over the dried color parts and iron them on lightly. I couldn't do that (a lot of them ripped) and it took me over 2 hours to freehand the black outline. Keeping the "inside" pieces will make your life soooo much easier.

Step 3: Cut out and iron on and paint any additional lettering that you might want (following the steps above). If you are wanting to do letters and not just pictures you will have to use the “flip” feature on the cricut because you need to iron the paper on shiny side down but cut it on the cricut shiny side up.

EXTRA TIPS!
Make sure that you don't have the "steam" on your iron on, when there is too much steam the paper doesn't adhere to the fabric well and will lift up a bit and you'll get paint underneath your paper which messes up your design.

I use a piece of cardboard in between the layers of the pillowcase/shirt/bag so the colors don't bleed through.

Newstamper - I got mine at my local commissary, but I couldn't find it @ WM. I would suggest calling a few local groceries and see if any of them carry it ;0)
