Farm Fresh Friday - Halloween!

Are you feeling it in the air?? It's getting to be around my favorite time of the year...Halloween!  Ok, we've got awhile, BUT if you are like me and love any and all things Halloween then this year we want you to get an early start and make a Halloween themed project!

I chose to make a scary group of vampire trick or treaters.  When I showed this card to my friend Amy, she said they looked like kind of kids you hope to avoid while trick or treating, lol.  She's totally right!  Speaking of Amy, I used her fabulous tutorial on creating vampire/zombie skin and it's HERE.

The FFF challenges runs until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.

Meet Audrey!

Marie kindly shared Miss Audrey here on the TGF blog last week, how incredibly CUTE is she?!?  Love her little tongue sticking out, this tomboy has got attitude!  Added a little sparkle to her hat because I know from experience that most tomboys have a girly streak in there somewhere.

TGF FFF "Vintage" Challenge

The challenge on FFF this week was to make a "Vintage" card.  Sounds great, right?? Yes and no.  The challenge itself is a BIG challenge for me (which I like) BUT I own nothing even remotely "vintage-y".  Sooooo, I put my thinking cap on and decided, what's more vintage than black and white???

So I made the whole thing black and white.  Coloring Miss Stella in grey scale was a new experience for me.  I wanted to make sure she had depth and wasn't just stark black and white so I made sure to shade her face/arms/legs too so that she'd look slightly more normal.  I also pop-dotted the frame around the Stella image so it would look more like a picture frame (which is what it's supposed to be, hehehe).

This is way out of my comfort zone but I was pretty impressed with the results :0)

CA&F Monday Mania with Suzi!

It was my buddy Suzi's turn to host Monday Mania @ CA&F this week and her challenge was to make an easel card and add ribbon.  Definitely a challenge for me because  I've never made an easel card!  Suzi was kind enough to help me with the measurements though and I figured it out eventually.

My daughter helped me pick colors and papers, so it's a bit all over the place but oh, well!

Oh Stella, My Stella!

I have a platonic girl-crush on a cartoon character :0)  This is Stella, a creation by Miss Amy for TGF and she's my new fave stamp! I don't know whether it's her awesome hair, flirty dress or what but I think she's just the cutest and I was SO excited to get her in the mail this week.

Broke down and used some of my cupcake paper and I got to use my new Martha Stewart cupcake border punch!! I have cupcake jammies too, if you were wondering, LOL.

Home is where my ____ is...

With this challenge on TGF we were supposed to make a project using a TGF stamp that reminds us of home. Well, besides the obvious thing -my family- the next thing that reminds me of home is... my books! And when I think of books I think of Twilight lately which makes me think of Edward of course so hence the inspiration for the card. I put two books that I love to read and the one that I unfortunately spend all my time reading now :0(

My Man Ed

I have been doing A LOT of reading for school this week (which I think will be a pattern for my classes!) and I needed a creative break. I just love this little guy, he's my 'go to' when I want to color something quick and fun. I spent a lot of time staring at this card wanting to add something but I couldn't figure out what so I left it as is.
